THE STORY BEHIND CASA SULI
A home inspired by a little sun.
Casa Suli began with a rescued cat, a deep affection for Sicily and one simple belief: the places we remember are the ones that make us feel cared for.
But when we first met him, he was anything but sunny.
We found Suli behind a rubbish bin, his eyes sealed shut from infection, barely moving, skin and bones. He had been abandoned, sick and forgotten.
We had not planned to adopt a cat. But something in his quiet will to survive stayed with us. So we brought him home.
Slowly and gently, he healed. In the days that followed, curled in sunbeams, purring at the window, he reminded us of what really matters: warmth, care and the comfort of feeling safe.
WHERE IT BEGAN
Suli means "sun" in Sicilian.
THE IDEA
"What if a holiday apartment could feel less like somewhere you rent, and more like somewhere you belong?"
That question became Casa Suli.

Casa Suli was created as an antidote to anonymous accommodation. Colour, useful details, comfortable spaces and a little playfulness give the apartment its character.
It is a place where you can work with focus, cook a real meal, rest properly and return after a day in Siracusa feeling at home.

Casa Suli is a personal project shaped by the Sicily we love: generous, expressive, unhurried and full of small rituals worth sharing.
We want guests to have independence during their stay while knowing that real people are nearby when advice or help is needed.

Before the apartment, there was Shop Sicily: a small way of sharing Mediterranean flavours with people farther north. Casa Suli grew from the same affection for the island.
