When a Sicilian and a Lithuanian met, it didn’t take long before food became their first common language. Their love story began in the calm beauty of Lithuania, where warm hearts sought warmth in flavour. What started as a bond over shared plates and passed-down family recipes soon became something deeper: a journey of preserving, celebrating, and sharing the essence of Sicily.

Sicily, to us, isn’t just an island — it’s a rhythm of life. It’s where stories are carried in every dish, and where coffee is not just a drink but a morning ritual. It's the scent of sun-dried tomatoes drifting through village streets, the crunch of handmade biscotti dunked in wine, the soft glow of olive oil in the afternoon sun. And most of all, it's a place where family and food are inseparable.

The Birth of Shop Sicily

Living in Lithuania, we quickly realised just how deeply we missed those familiar Sicilian flavours — not just for ourselves, but for everyone around us who had never tasted them. So, we began modestly, hand-selecting high-quality delicacies that carried real Sicilian soul: creamy pistachio spreads made by artisans near Bronte, bold espresso blends roasted by small family businesses, and seasonal treats created with tradition and care.

We started shipping them across Europe, carefully packed and thoughtfully curated. With every order, we weren’t just delivering food — we were sending stories, memories, and moments of sunshine. Our customers weren’t just buying products but opening the door to Sicily itself.

From Taste to Place: Introducing Casa Suli

But something else was stirring in us. Food was the beginning, yes — but what if people could go beyond the flavour? What if they could live, breathe, and be surrounded by it?

That’s how Casa Suli was born. Named after our cat, who was named after the sun ("Suli" in Sicilian dialect), it’s a warm, remote-friendly retreat in Siracusa, Sicily, currently being lovingly brought to life. It’s not a hotel. It’s not just a rental. It’s a home for remote workers, creatives, couples, friends, co-workers, a family (up to 6 Guests) and anyone who needs to pause, reset, and find joy in slower days.

When complete, Casa Suli will offer comfort and creativity in equal measure:

• A master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a private balcony

• A quiet workspace with fast Wi-Fi

• A cosy living area with Netflix nights and coffee mornings

• A fully equipped kitchen for homemade feasts

• And the little extras — like a guitar in the corner, or bikes ready for a seaside ride

We want our guests to feel rooted in Sicilian life, even if just for a week or two. Every detail is designed with care, from the scent of morning espresso to the late-afternoon light streaming through the windows.
